Easter Service

Hi – if you haven’t had a chance to check it out, or if you missed our Easter service last Sunday, there’s a blog entry on Kelly’s blog about what we did.

Baptism Sunday

This Sunday is our baptism Sunday where 23 candidates are scheduled to be baptized together!

Congratulations to Kevin Limkrailassiri, James Yan, Matthew Park and Nancy Yan from Praxis who will be baptized this Sunday.  And just a reminder that we will be taking a group picture outside with all of them as we celebrate this joyous occasion.

We are going to host an event to watch the rebroadcast of a recent debate between William Lane Craig, one of the world’s leading philosophers of religion and Christianity, facing off with Christopher Hitchens, who is one of the most outspoken atheists in a century, in the debate titled “Does God Exist?” this Saturday (4/11) at 7pm at our North Loop building. The live debate was held this past Saturday (4/4) at Biola University.

Good Friday and Easter at GFC

Join us as we remember and celebrate two of the most significant days in the Christian faith: Good Friday and Easter.

  • Good Friday service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday (4/10), at Kofman Auditorium in Alameda.  The service will offer Communion and a reflective environment focused on recalling the price Jesus paid so that we could be reconciled to God.
  • Easter service will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday (4/12) at Kofman Auditorium in Alameda follow by Easter BBQ Picnic with Joyland and ImpACT ministry at Alameda High School field behind Kofman Auditorium.

G-Live is done!

And it was awesome! Yes, sadly it’s over… if you missed the show, I’m sorry to say you’ll have to wait for the DVD to come out, hopefully later this year!

Good job to all 300+ college students at Gracepoint Fellowship who participated.  We had over 1,900 guests that came to watch the program and not only be entertained but to hear the gospel message explained and depicted in powerful ways through each of the skits.   And many thanks to all the Praxis volunteers, for all the help with security, parking, makeup, tech work, setup and preparing the 7,950 meals served during G-Live and the weeks leading up!  Indeed it was a display of entire church in action!

Here’s the cool intro video that kicked off the whole night:
