Elderly Care Ministry

One of our active ministries sponsored within Praxis is our Elderly Care Ministry.  Each week along with one of the ministry groups outside of Praxis, ECM has been leading worship service at Emmanuel Convalescent Hospital  of Alameda (2nd/4th Sunday) and recently at Glen Brook Terrace apartment community (1st/3rd Sunday) in Piedmont where Jaqi, one of the elder members of our church currently lives.  Each Sunday we get to bring some joy and the gospel message to them.  If you are interested in helping out and volunteering, please contact Lauren Kwon.

Worldview Camp

Hello – as announced on Friday, this year’s Worldview Camp will be open to Praxis as well as our college students.  You will need to take days off for this, but rest assured, it will be well-worth the three days of training.  Sean McDowell is a great speaker and an expert in apologetics and worldview issues.  Here is the info.  You can sign up by clicking HERE. 

Praxis Monterey Trip (5/9)

It is spring finally and we can’t wait to enjoy our favorite past time:  going places to hike, camp out, etc., Praxis style!  To kick it off, we are planning a day at Monterey/Carmel on Saturday (5/9).  We will enjoy various activities by groups then meet up at Carmel River State Beach for some beach ultimate frisbee, football, etc and cook out on the beach over an open fire.  Don’t miss out!  Join us!  Sign-up here!

Praxis Friday Courses

We are continuing with Praxis Friday Courses this week on Friday (4/24) with the following courses at our North Loop building (map):

1. Survival Kit I
2. Survival Kit II
3. Course 101
4. Church 101
5. Gospel Snapshots (Open to everyone)

We will start with dinner at 7pm.  Also we will have Connect time after the courses so stay and enjoy some snacks and your favorite board game with us.  See you Friday!
